Best options for how to start your race

Integrate with a PA Speaker (recommended), use an air horn/whistle, or integrate with a traditional starter system

As a

Starter

I want to

Choose the best option for how to use my Starter device to start races

Solution

Either integrate with a PA speaker, use an air horn/whistle, or integrate with a traditional starting system

Option 1: Integrate with a PA Speaker

Integration with a PA speaker is the most reliable option for starting races. You can hardwire the Starter's phone/iPad directly into the PA Speaker/Sound System!

The Swimmingly App automatically makes the "beep" noise that you are familiar with. Hardwiring the Starter's phone/iPad directly into the PA Speaker/Sound System will amplify the "beep"!

Option 2: Use an air horn or whistle

Simultaneously use an air horn or whistle and tap the screen on the Starter device to start the race.

Option 3: Integrate with a traditional starting system

CAUTION: Integration with a traditional starting system is not recommended as the traditional starting systems are not reliable and have not been updated in quite some time.

What cords do I need to integrate my Swimmingly® Starter iOS device?

If you plan to use an Infinity Starter or a Daktronics Starter you will need to purchase the necessary chords to integrate your Swimmingly Starter iOS device. Swimmingly does not manufacture any hardware.
