How to Change Your Selected Website Template

If you picked a template and changed your mind, you can still select another option. 

Once you’ve selected a website template, you can still change your template if needed. The process just requires deleting the current template first.

Step 1: Delete Your Current Template

To change templates, you’ll need to remove the one you’ve already selected.

  1. Navigate to your website inside the Websites tab.

  2. Locate the trash can icon associated with your current template.

  3. Click the trash can icon to begin the deletion process.

  4. When prompted, type DELETE (in all capital letters) to confirm.

⚠️ Important: Once you delete your selected website template, the entire contents are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Step 2: Launch the Website Wizard Again

After your template has been deleted:

  1. You’ll be prompted to launch the Website Wizard.

  2. Follow the wizard steps to select a new template.

  3. Complete the setup to generate your new website.

Important Things to Know Before You Delete

  • Any customizations or changes you made to the original template will not carry over to the new template.

  • This includes text edits, images, layout changes, and design adjustments.

  • Your new site will start fresh using the newly selected template.

If you’re unsure whether you want to lose your existing changes, we recommend reviewing your site carefully before deleting your template.
